The German medication manufacturers, wholesalers and pharmacies founded securPharm as an initiative to protect the sales of fake pharmaceuticals. Dr. Reinhard Hoferichter, Spokesman of the Executive Board of securPharm e.V., is very pleased with the abilities of arvato Systems as a system integrator. In just four month, the company delivered top-quality results for the project given in order: development and implementation of an IT solution to protect against counterfeit medicine.
After the successful launch of the pilot project earlier this year, now starts the test mode. By 2014, the technical processing is further explored and prepared for the nationwide introduction. Currently more than 280 pharmacies and 24 pharmaceutical companies are involved in the implementation.
