PAPER MASTER offers all of the advantages of Web Inspection (WIS) and Web Break Monitoring (WBM). Both systems can deliver outstanding inspection and web break control results as independent solutions with a new and optimized future-oriented technology. Alternatively WIS and WBM can be installed as one unified, integrated system to determine where and how a defect occurred even faster with only one mouse click. Based on the new outstanding PAPER MASTER, irregularities of the surface can be detected faster and easier than ever before – a decrease of quality defects of up to 70% can be reached.
PAPER MASTER – Web Inspection System (WIS) is dedicated to quality control and inspects the whole width of the sheet on the paper machine in order to provide excellent photographic images of each defect. The industry’s fastest high-resolution line-scan cameras and image processors accomplish a 100% inspection of the paper surface and ensure the highest detection performance down to microns. The line-scan cameras with higher CD and MD unique high resolution deliver the best image sharpness. In addition, the state-of-the-art technology includes LED lighting that provides detailed defect images at a production speed of more than 2,000m/min. An outstanding defect classification differentiates process-relevant defects from irrelevant ones and enables to act on the precise results. Usually the teaching process within the classification takes many weeks. With the unique PAPER MASTER WIS the integration of the complete software is now easier and shorter, and allows the optimization of the system together with the classification of size and priority of defects within only a few hours.
PAPER MASTER – Web Break Monitoring System (WBM) monitors web breaks and other critical events along the production line and automatically alarms for disturbance. The goal is to achieve process efficiency in a short period of time. To do so, critical process relevant positions are observed, recorded and web breaks analyzed by the IntelliCam cameras. The new generation of cameras can be easily installed as a new system or integrated to revamp an already existing WBM.
PAPER MASTER – IntelliCam is an intelligent camera concept which delivers data to server and operator monitors without delays. The new technology of the IntelliCam is the solution to handle all challenges during production and delivers a maximum image quality. Crystal clear images are recorded with advanced HD+ cameras and ensure an excellent video root cause analysis for fast corrective action. The IntelliCam comes as a compact, ruggedized stainless steel housing including camera, illumination, and cleaning. It is easy to install even in challenging environments with limited spaces, dirt, water, and heat. Automated Razorblade or brush cleaning guarantees clear images by lowest maintenance effort at all times. The IntelliCam gives real-time information to reduce web breaks typically by 50%, increases machine uptime and process productivity. Further, the IntelliCam is very flexible and can be installed as an all-in-one system for WIS and WBM.
