Mohawk to Exhibit at National Stationery Show 2013

Thursday 16. May 2013 - On Sunday, the National Stationery Show kicks off at the Javits Center in New York City. Mohawk will be exhibiting again this year, in booth #2866, and is excited to have new products to share and a number of opportunities to support industry events during the week. Here is a look at

A Love Story: of Enve & Lope
The story goes like this: Young Enve and Lope meet as friends in class, exchanging doodles and notes of affection. The relationship grows through time and is strengthened by a shared love of poetry, music, design, European travel, and, of course, love notes. The culmination of the story, marriage, of course.
The challenge: deliver a compelling story about beautifully crafted envelopes. Designer Katie Barcelona and illustrator Erik Marinovich have certainly succeded. The newest Mohawk envelope sampler, The Story of Enve & Lope, How the Envelope Came to Be, highlighting eight styles ranging from square, A2, A6, A7, A9, A10 and premium Mohawk envelopes, will be previewed for the first time at the show.
25th Annual LOUIE Award Gala – Celebrating The Artist and The Card
May 19th marks the culmination of the 25th LOUIE Awards competition, originally launched by the Greeting Card Associaton in 1988, with a gala celebration honoring all finalists and winners of this year’s competition. The evening will include cocktails, dinner and the presentation of awards, followed by dessert, music and dancing. Each table will also featured hand crafted paper centerpieces, featuring a variety of Mohawk papers. For more information about the gala and to purchase tickets, visit GCA’s website.
Paper Fashion Show
Students enrolled in the Visual Merchandising program at LIM College in New York City have the opportunity again this year to see their fashion designs realized using paper as the medium for creation. They will be using Mohawk papers to design and create Asian-inspired paper dresses, including traditional kimonos and Tokyo street fashions. Their fashions will be installed at the National Stationery Show 2013 Best New Product Display, located in the Crystal Palace.
Paper Party 2013
Hosted by Oh So Beautiful Paper, this year’s Paper Party is the must-see event of the week. (Besides to beautiful booths, of course.) Mohawk is thrilled to be a sponsor along with several other fabulous companies. Follow the action live on Twitter with the hashtag #paperparty13.
