Thursday 09. May 2013 - The 2013 edition of Do Good Design: How Design Can Change the World, by designer, speaker and author David Berman, has been re-released and was produced using Mohawk papers. The book launches today, on Earth Day.
Do Good Design examines the role of design in modern culture, with regard to the choices facing not only designers, but society at large, encouraging readers to ‘do good’ by making environmentally and socially responsible choices.
Mohawk paper was selected for the re-print of Do Good Design, due to its high post-consumer recycled content and FSC certifications. The text pages are Mohawk Options 100% PC White Vellum 80# Text, containing 100% postconsumer waste fiber. The cover stock is Mohawk Everyday Digital Coated Gloss White 100# Cover.
As a leader in environmentally and socially responsible business practices, Mohawk was the first U.S. manufacturer of commercial printing papers to match 100% of its electricity with wind power renewable energy credits and the first U.S. premium paper mill to shift toward carbon neutral production. Mohawk’s portfolio of recycled papers is certified by Green Seal and the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
