Friday 22. March 2013 - Thanks to the precious collaboration that GIDUE holds with its distributor Gulmen Engineering Pty Ltd (G.E.), the Italian company conquered two well-established "realities" of the New Zealand and Australian Labels market: Presson Labels (Auckland, New Zealand) and Rapid Labels (Victoria, Australia).

Presson Labels is a well-established manufacturer of self-adhesive labels, based in New Zealand and founded in 1990. In December 2012, the GIDUE Combat M1 press was installed and, since then, Presson Labels is successfully using it to produce high-standards of labels. The 370 mm width configuration offers eight-colour UV with chilled drums, servo-motor in-feed, pre-register and the SnowBallTM . Presson Labels machine gives the possibility to run different substrates for the production of self-adhesive labels, sleeves and wrap-around labels. Kevin Aisher, Presson Labels’ Chief Director, declared: “GIDUE M1 press was the best choice we could make! Our market is extremely demanding, therefore we needed a quick change press to be flexible on delivery time as well as quality. GIDUE M1 is a lethal “weapon” printing press!”.
Rapid Labels, based in Victoria, is an Australian self-adhesive label company established in 1982. Its wide label range ensures the best quality and price for several field applications, e.g. food and beverage, wine, cosmetics, chemical and pharmaceutical products. Last September, during Label Expo Americas, Rapid Labels decided to invest on the new GIDUE M5 Digital Flexo to print unlimited materials such as self-adhesive, unsupported film, aluminium foils, carton, tubes, etc.
The machine is a fully servo driven press width 430 mm, equipped with eight-colours UV and Final Air Dryer, HD Cameras (PrintTutor) which read the printed image on each print unit and automatically adjust the print pressure, register and density, thanks to the “seven” servo-motors in each print station. The converting section has the revolutionary waste material rewinder ” SnowBall” and three die-cutting units equipped with Digi-Gap for automatic die-cutting pressure disengagement and “digital” die-cutting pressure control. As a matter of fact, the GIDUE M5 Digital Flexo press is a perfect mix between digital and conventional. Rapid Labels found it to be the best option within the market in terms of printing consistency, waste reduction, quick set up and high speed. Mr Sean Kennon, the owner of the Australian company, commented “I purchased GIDUE press after watching a video. I watched the same video on many occasions and I felt so confident about my final decision that I ordered over the telephone. The Press looks even better in real life than in video. The GIDUE TEAM together with Gulmen Engineering made it all happen within a short space of time”.
GIDUE’s triumph in Australia and New Zealand is the direct consequence of a working partnership between the Italian manufacturer and Gulmen Engineering Ltd (G.E.). The relationship between GIDUE and G.E. started almost 7 years ago. Since that day, G.E. has been the exclusive provider of the GIDUE product range in Australia and New Zealand. In those regions, G.E.’s collaboration allowed the installation of about 15 GIDUE machines. Mr Eddie Gulmen, G.E.’s Chief of Sales and Service, is the man who made it possible. Today, G.E. has a strong and widespread credibility on a large “slice” of the global market. Mrs Cristina Toffolo, GIDUE Sales and Marketing Director, comments: “Our partnership with Gulmen Engineering has been rewarding. We cooperate as a team and we are confident that our service will keep satisfying the customer’s expectations and “pave the way” to new business opportunities!”.
Today GIDUE is stronger, explosive and ready to achieve a good score in the Southern hemisphere!
