Wednesday 06. February 2013 - Newly Establishes Smart Creation Laboratory to Support Development of Optimum Communication Environment

In order to better respond to changes in customers’ business environment and the market, Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. has unveiled its renovated Customer Value Innovation Center, which was established in February 2011. The Center has newly set up the Smart Creation Laboratory within its premises, as well as a new zone that will focus on local community revitalization.
In the recent advancement of ubiquitous communication, personal computer and smartphone users access a wealth of contents, including video and audio, at any time and place. Through the Smart Creation Laboratory, which will be run by Fuji Xerox System Service Co., Ltd.Note1, the Company has strengthened its abilities to design and promote such contents. Visitors can experience ways of efficiently producing image data and other contents, and effectively communicating them to their customers by utilizing them for electric commerce sites or customer relationship management promotion.
Further, in an aim to provide a one-stop solution in resolving business issues, the Laboratory showcases various services that support marketing communication of new retail formats such as online supermarkets and virtual stores, as well as technologies that support next-generation logistics. The Laboratory also has skilled on-site staff who will work with customers to develop an optimum communication environment (Fig. 1).

Moreover, separate from the Laboratory, the Center now features a zone on local community revitalization, aiming to develop schemes for interconnecting not only Fuji Xerox and its customers but also customers to each other. Specifically, the area connects customers who have local contents, such as information on local events, and customers who have a community-based means of distributing information, such as community magazines, to help create new businesses and revitalize local communities.
With the changes in business environment such as the increase in digitization and the advancement of information and communication technology (ICT), many companies are facing marketing issues; for example, how to enhance customer contact points and how to utilize media such as paper and the Web. The Customer Value Innovation Center enables customers to see, feel, and experience specific solutions for such issues, and shows ways to change communication. Up until now, the Center has welcomed approximately 10,000 visitors from 3,500 companies.
The Customer Value Innovation Center will continually challenge creating value for customers by stepping up its collaboration with the Integrated Customer Support Center and the Company’s R&D division Customer Collaboration Laboratory in the Fuji Xerox R&D Square.
