Oce Premium Pigment Inks Make U.S. Premiere at Graph Expo
Monday 08. October 2012 - The fast immobilizing ink for the Oce ColorStream 3000 series increases media flexibility.
Oce, a Canon Group company and an international leader in digital document management, today announced that a new Premium Pigment Black ink for the Oce ColorStream 3000 series, will be showcased at Graph Expo in Oce booth 400 at McCormick Place South in Chicago, October 7 – 10.
Originally introduced at drupa 2012, this is the first time Premium Pigment Black ink will be shown in the United States. Graph Expo attendees will be able to see it used in an educational book application printed on an Oce ColorStream 3000 series digital full-color inkjet printing system.
Premium Pigment Black is a fast immobilizing ink, keeping more of the ink at the media surface and improving optical density. The new Premium Pigment Black ink also enhances color images by extending shadow detail and increasing contrast levels.
Faster ink immobilization extends the media range and, more importantly, enables print quality and density on standard uncoated papers comparable to printing with primer or on Inkjet treated stocks.
“The new Premium Pigment Black ink for the Oce ColorStream 3000 series, increases overall color gamut and gives print providers much more flexibility on media,” said Michael Poulin, Product Marketing Manager, Oce North America, a Canon Group company. “It allows for high density blacks even on uncoated media and increases the density of blacks across a broad spectrum of papers.”
Premium Pigment Black ink will become generally available in the United States in the first quarter of 2013.
