Caslon Announces Appointment of Carl Joachim as Senior Partner plus the Creation of New Innovative Packaging Practice

Caslon and Company, a trusted source for market intelligence and advice for the production digital printing market, has announced the formation of a new practice dedicated to emerging Innovative Packaging markets.
Led by industry veteran Carl Joachim, the Innovative Packaging Service Practice will provide:

Market research
Customized consulting services
A special Innovative Packaging Track at the PODi AppForum conference (January 28-30, 2013 in Las Vegas)
In addition, in his role as Senior Partner, Mr. Joachim will join Caslon General Manager, David Erlandson, in providing far-ranging expertise to all aspects of Caslon’s engagement with the digital printing market.
Mr. Joachim has played an integral role in the adoption of production digital printing for over 20 years. He has held senior executive positions at Xerox, Oce and most recently Ricoh, where he was a member of the core senior team that developed Ricoh’s entry into the production printing market. He brings to Caslon deep experience in business strategy, sales and marketing, and recent first hand experience consulting for leading packaging companies in the US and Europe. He also serves on the advisory board for California Polytechnic State University’s (Cal Poly) Graphic Communication Department, one of the top graphic arts and packaging programs in the world.

Caslon and Cal Poly will jointly conduct a panel discussion at Graph Expo in McCormick Center on Oct. 9, 2012, from 11:30-12:30, entitled: Digital Printing Opportunities in PackagingA 360-Degree View: Brand Owners, Converters, and Technology Providers.
The session, hosted by Carl Joachim, includes panelists from Cal Poly, HP and Paperworks Industries, and will examine innovation in packaging from multiple points of view.
