Ricoh delighted with BAPC accolade

Thursday 27. September 2012 - Ricoh UK is celebrating being named the BAPC's Supplier of the Year 2012 at the association's annual conference last week. Ricoh held off competition from a shortlist of 12 companies chosen by a ballot of the BAPC's membership to scoop the prestigious gong at the event in Elstree, Hertfordshire, on Friday.

Delegates from around the industry assembled at the two-day conference to discuss the challenges faced by the industry over the last 12 months and to plan ahead for a prosperous future. Entertainment, business insights and inspiration were provided by speakers such as entrepreneur Sean Brickell, Barney Cox of Infotrends, duomedia social media specialist Stan Lemmens, The Print Coach Nick Devine, Kall Kwik’s Nigel Toplis and Xerox’s Kevin O’Donnell.
Ricoh UK Marketing Director, Chas Moloney, who also delivered a talk titled “Marketing your services” to the conference, said: “Ricoh UK has put a great deal of hard work into building what we believe to be the most comprehensive support and business-services infrastructure in the UK production printing industry. As such, we are delighted at the recognition received from the BAPC members and conference delegates. Ricoh’s philosophy has always been that market leading technology is only part of the story – this award is the latest evidence that our strategy of assembling a portfolio of powerful digital printing and data management solutions, supported by experienced professionals and relevant business services, is highly valued by our customers.”
Sidney Bobb, Chairman of the BAPC said: “This award is selected by the market, not by committee, and so Ricoh should be very proud of this endorsement of its hard work. Since entering the commercial print industry, Ricoh has been notable for its efforts in engaging printers in its marketing and at industry events with, not necessarily direct sales efforts, but educational and informative content and campaigns, designed to improve the understanding of digital print’s potential within the industry in general. The BAPC is looking forward to continuing to work with Ricoh and its other partners to improve printers’ knowledge of the technology and issues affecting them today and in the future.”
