Michelman Strengthens Commitment to Indian Market with Addition of India Country Manager

Friday 03. August 2012 - Michelman has hired Mr. Manoj Deorukhkar as its new India Country Manager, a newly created position at the company. Mr. Deorukhkar will be responsible for oversight of all of the company's business units within the country - Paper & Corrugated; Flexible Packaging; Chemical Specialties; and Fibers and Composites. His hiring is a key development designed to help Michelman introduce its entire portfolio of technology to this key market.

Mr. Deorukhkar will be based in Michelman’s Mumbai office, and will be an integral part of Michelman’s Asia Pacific leadership team. His initial responsibilities will include supporting the introduction of Michelman products, and crafting a strategic plan that will best serve customers and prospects in India.
Deorukhkar brings over 25 years of chemical and coatings industry experience, most recently with Lubrizol Advanced Materials where he held the position of Associate Head of South Asia operations. Prior to that, Mr. Deorukhkar was Industry Sales Manager at Dow Corning.
Mr. Deorukhkar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Mumbai, and a degree in Business Management from Brilliant’s School of Management located in Chennai, India.
