iPad App Created with QuarkXPress 9 Now Available on App Store
Monday 09. May 2011 - The BLAG Deluxe App, Developed with the Innovative Digital Publishing Functionality of QuarkXPress 9, is Now Available on Apples App Store
Quark announced today the availability on the Apple Store of BLAG Deluxe App for iPad, an example of the digital publishing capabilities of QuarkXPress 9. The app has been designed entirely in QuarkXPress and combines rich, interactive content created by BLAGs founders Sally A. and Sarah J. Edwards. QuarkXPress allowed Sally, the design and art director, to seamlessly integrate videos, slideshows, and audio recordings with precision typography, exclusive content, and Sarahs high-end photography that readers of the print edition have come to love and expect.
“BLAG is a premium publication and iPad Apps are a new revolution in publishing. The iPad device makes this the perfect product and direction for us given the exclusive and custom content we create,” explained Sally A. Edwards, Co-founder of BLAG. “Ive been loyal to Quark for years and when I found out there was the option to create the App with the software, I looked no further. Having worked with QuarkXPress for so long, there werent many new areas to get to grips with, so this allowed me to get more creative and really go for it with custom design, pushing certain rules aside.”
