Sappi European Cup Final 2011 Winners Announced

Monday 02. May 2011 - Sappi Fine Paper Europe encourages competitive spirit.

Thirty-four of Europe’s finest printer and publisher table football players took part in the Brussels Grand Final of the Sappi Cup 2011 on April 28th.
The event, which is now in its second year, saw seventeen talented teams battling it out to win tickets to May’s UEFA Champions League Finals in London
As well as going to Wembley Stadium to watch the UEFA Champions League Finals, the winners will be taken to see the sights from an open-top London bus, on a Thames cruise and to dinner at some of the finest restaurants in London. The winners will be accompanied by Sappi’s 3 regional Sales Directors and the Sales & Marketing Director.
With such a prize on offer, the entrants from some of Europe’s finest footballing nations including France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Serbia, Hungary, Estonia, Poland, UK, Turkey and Benelux showed an impressive display of football prowess.
Refereed by an International Table Football referee, Gilles Bloch from the Belgian Federation, the competition was conducted strictly by the rules. Fortunately, no red or yellow cards needed to be handed out and everyone accepted the referee’s decisions like true professionals.

“Through this event, we would like to bring people together and highlight the importance of talent, passion and commitment in a highly competitive world.
“We will definitely be holding another competition again next year.
Magdalena and Michal, Prym company, fom Poland were the grand final winners of the Sappi Cup and were awarded the 2011 trophy by Marco Eikelenboom.
The Vogt Schild team from Switzerland, together with L’Equipe from France and Kroonpress from Estonia, the three next best scoring teams, will go to Wembley and watch the UEFA final.
Three other teams, Redwood from England, Moderna from Belgium, Grafit Pencil Nyomda from Hungary also won tickets in a further draw. All winners will be offered the chance to enjoy the same luxury weekend in London.
