More Focus and Further Expansion for OPTIMA GROUP consumer
Wednesday 13. April 2011 - Optima Group announces an important structure change of its Consumer Division. The decision was made to bring the companies Kugler, SF Vision and a portion of Optima Filling and Packaging Machines together under one roof. In the future, the Consumer Division will be more focused and further expanded as one enterprise.
Optima Group Consumer manufactures filling and packaging machines for the food sector and the chemical and cosmetics industry. The company offers market-leading solutions for the production of single serve coffee packs, powder dosing and is a pioneering manufacturer of highly flexible lines for filling cosmetic products.
At the turn of the year 2011/2012, the merger of the companies into one new enterprise will take place as the logical result of the already practiced and proven co-operation of the companies distribution and marketing departments. The newly founded Optima Group subsidiary will employ a staff of approximately 250 employees, who currently are employees of Kugler and SF Vision. An interest of Optima filling and packaging machines GmbH, manufacturer of consumer machines and lines, will also be a part of the startup.
SF Vision, of which the Feuchter family holds a majority stake, will become a part of Optima Group Consumer and will have an interest in this new subsidiary. The Nonwovens, Pharma and Life Science Divisions of Optima Group will remain unchanged.
Members of the future management board will be Joachim Dittrich (Optima), responsible for distribution and services, and Rainer Feuchter (SF Vision and Kugler) for design and production. Turnovers of the new enterprise are estimated to reach approximately 50 million Euros. Both directors expect significant growth in the coming years.
Plans for the future and construction projects
In this context, Optima Group reports plans for a new construction project in the Solpark, the industrial zone of Schwaebisch Hall. This is where the future headquarters of the new Consumer Company, presently still operating from two separate locations in Schwaebisch Hall, will be set up. The project foresees an extension of the office and assembly space within the existing building occupied by Kugler. Almost simultaneously to the announcement of the new structure, a vacant production hall was acquired from Aluca, a company located in Schwaebisch Halls industrial zone in the west.
In 2012, Optima Groups headquarters should be sufficiently unburdened to take on their own projected renovations – after further analysis. In addition, Optima Group recently purchased a 3-hectare lot to be prepared for future extensions in the Solpark.
