VGP and Ekol ofset establishing a joint venture to service European Cups market
Wednesday 30. March 2011 - Van Genechten Packaging, one of the major European folding carton manufacturers and Ekol Ofset, one of the leading cup producers have established a joint venture in order to service European and international customers with cups for the European market.
This joint venture is based in Belgium and operates under the name VG Ekol N.V. The start is foreseen in Russia. VG Ekol will invest into a sales and production unit in Moscow, which will become operational in the month of April this year to serve the international customers of both companies. Further investments are in preparation and will be announced in due course.
Van Genechten Packaging is a group comprising of 10 folding carton factories in 7 countries, which serves the European consumer goods industry with cardboard boxes, microflute packaging and packaging systems. Other activities of the group are Automation and Extrusion, which offer customised solutions for packaging machines and a broad range of barrier laminations both for the open market as well as for the group.
