LFP - Large-Format-Printing

Color Alliance at the Fespa 2011: hall A2, stand C25

Monday 28. March 2011 - Process reliability in focus; CA coating sets standard in LFP sector

Color Alliance (CA) will have its own stand (hall A2, C25) at the Fespa taking place from May 24 to 27 in Hamburg. The focus of the CA fair presence will be process reliability with large format printing (LFP). Another area of interest will be formed by the CA-W2P ultimate web-to-print solution for printing service providers.
CA’s aim is to simplify production processes in large-format inkjet printing (L-XXL) as part of a comprehensive workflow solution so as to increase productivity and process reliability for printing service providers, dealers, print buyers, and end users.
The basis is a standardized coating that considerably reduces the number of color profiles and ensures the color accuracy of inkjet printers. In this way CA can also provide the necessary ICC (International Color Consortium) profiles independently of the media supplier. Data on the printer and ink system used are then completely adequate even for large-format digital printing.
CA also shows how printing service providers can benefit from its process reliability in web-to-print services with its CA-W2P ultimate solution. This customized web-to-print portal is suitable for standard and individual LFP products. Brochures, catalogs, or XXL advertising banners can be ordered quickly, simply, and cost-effectively via the Internet. The print documents are produced directly in the browser, doing away with the need for standalone
graphics or expertise.
The basic version of W2P offers printing service providers extensive functions for efficient business transactions. These range from complete commercial processes (quotations, order confirmations, delivery notes, and invoices) through the verification of print data, to the setting up of open or closed shops for B2C and B2B customers.
The system supports all standard payment types, and the appearance can be adapted easily to the operator’s corporate design. CA-W2P ultimate also offers outstanding color accuracy to enable it to comply precisely and automatically with the brand corporate design requirements.
“Reproducibility, productivity, and color accuracy of LFP products are still a sensitive subject in the industry,” says André Kapsa, managing director of Color Alliance in Vlotho. “Our comprehensive system solution makes life easier for printing service providers by offering them process reliability. At the Fespa you will be able to see how you can benefit from web-to-print portals.”
As a cooperation with worldwide operations, Color Alliance brings together internationally active print media and software manufacturers. CA print media manufacturers Neschen (hall A4, B11) and Heytex Bramsche (hall A1, B30) and technology partner ColorGATE (hall A4, C20) will also be represented at the Fespa.
Color Alliance is organizing a conference at the Fespa with web-to-print experts on Thursday, May 26. Interested visitors can register on the CA website http://www.color-alliance.com
