Northprint 2011 organisers IIR Print Group, has announced its latest roundup of key industry signings to add to its impressive line up of suppliers, trade associations, educational seminars, debates and other networking attractions that are all set to make Northprint 2011 [www.northprintexpo.com] the key industry event of the year. The latest additions to the growing line-up of supplier exhibitors for the three day event, which takes place in Harrogate from 10-12th May include Duplo, GBC, Murodigital/Xerox, Presstek and Watkiss, enhancing the range of digital presses, print solutions and technologies that will be on display to visitors.
Comments Trevor Crawford, director of IIR Print Group, “Despite the uncertainty of the economy, the UK print industry continues to look positively towards the future, and it’s encouraging to see the commitment that leading players are still showing towards Northprint, confirming its place on the 2011 calendar as a significant networking, technology and educational event.”
Visitors will benefit from the recent signing of both Murodigital Ltd and Presstek, both of which will increase the range of digital presses on the show floor, which now includes the new Xerox 1000 full colour production press and the Presstek with its 34DI four-color digital offset press
Xerox’s largest UK concessionaire, Murodigital, will be presenting the new Xerox 1000 full colour production digital press together with the new Plockmatic 1000s and 200e offline booklet making systems. The company believes that Northprint is an excellent platform to launch its Group’s offering to the print sector. Comments Adrian Brooks, National Product Manager at Murodigital, “We are very proud to be the sole Xerox representative at the show. We feel that this complements our other ranges such as Powis and Plockmatic finishing solutions, for which we are the sole distributors. The message we would like to put forward is that the Murodigital/Zerographic group is the total Digital Solutions Provider.”
Presstek will be demonstrating how its environmentally friendly DI digital offset press and Chemistry-free CTP solutions help printers achieve a more profitable and sustainable print environment. “Northprint comes at a time when a combination of current market conditions is creating a perfect market opportunity for Presstek DI presses,” says Peter Banks, Presstek UK Sales Director. “Increasingly print buyers are looking for printers to produce materials in a more sustainable manner while at the same time meeting the demand for shorter runs and reducing the impact of rising commodity prices such as paper, ink and energy. DI presses offer flexible, compact operation that reduce waste and offer an array of environmental benefits.”
Duplo is extremely bullish about its decision to exhibit at Northprint 2011. Says Tony Lock, managing director of Duplo UK, “Strategically, the show fits perfectly for us. Our most successful exhibition at Ipex last year in Birmingham was followed with our most successful Duplo event with ‘London Calling’ at the Tate Modern, so Northprint will complete a fantastic twelve months of events for us, where we have been able to meet many of our UK customers as well as lots of prospective ones.”
During the event, Duplo will be exhibiting its hybrid bookletmaking solution, the Duetto, which combines an intelligent front end sheet feeder for digital stock, with collating towers for litho print, all in one system, as well as providing post press solutions on the Ricoh stand as its official finishing partner.
Also adding to the growing presentation of post-press solutions at Northprint include GBC, the multinational manufacturing and marketing company of a diverse line of Office, Educational and Reprographic products and Watkiss Automation Sales Ltd, a leading innovator in print finishing technology for offset, litho and digital print applications.
At Northprint 2011, Watkiss will be showing a range of products designed to maximise quality, efficiency and flexibility in the finishing operation. Commenting on its presence at the show, Jo Watkiss, Communications Director at Watkiss Automation Sales Ltd adds “Our customers need to see live product demonstrations to help them choose the best tools for their business. Northprint’s strong track record makes it the ideal venue for us to showcase some of the products that we launched at Ipex and which are now commercially available. We will be demonstrating finishing solutions for both offset and digital print, including the Nearline PowerSquare which combines high speed sheet feeding with the renowned PowerSquare book maker and a high capacity stacker.”
“We’re really excited by the range of print solutions and technology that will be present at Northprint, which will present visitors with the very latest offerings through the whole web to finish production processes, says Trevor Crawford.
“Coupled with our free series of value-added, educational seminars offering marketing tips, advice and open debate forums, as well as the networking opportunities and the celebration of young print talent in the form of the PrintIT! 2011 awards ceremony, Northprint has so much more to offer visitors this year.”
