Northprint Daily Shows Partnership in Action

Friday 25. February 2011 - Northprint organisers IIR have confirmed that PrintWeek will be producing the event’s daily newspaper live on-site in conjunction with partners Ricoh and IFS/Horizon.

Trevor Crawford, Director of the IIR Print Group, says: “The live production of the Northprint Daily has been a central feature at the event for many years. We’re delighted to work with the experienced team at Haymarket and some of our key exhibitors to show a live print job at the event demonstrating the entire print production in action. Producing a live job at an event is always a challenging but also rewarding task and we are confident that our partners will once again deliver a quality product for visitors.”
Chas Moloney, marketing director, Ricoh UK adds, “This is the second Northprint for Ricoh and we are delighted to be undertaking the print production of the Northprint Daily in cooperation with IIR, PrintWeek and its Daily partners. Visitors to the show will witness firsthand the print quality of our new Pro C901 Graphic Arts Edition high speed digital colour press, which was launched in autumn last year. The Northprint Daily will demonstrate the calibre of digitally printed output and we’re very pleased to be helping deliver news to visitors throughout the three days of the show.”
IFS, as a leading exhibitor of post press solutions at Northprint will be involved in the production of the show daily for the first time.
The sheets will be delivered to the IFS stand in Hall B (one of the largest at the event) overnight and finished prior to the show opening on the Horizon StitchLiner automated saddlestitch line which will collate, plough fold, saddlestitch and three knife trim the product ready for distribution at the show’s opening.
