QUESTEX TO ANNOUNCE 2011 BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION AWARD WINNER AT PUBLISHING XCHANGE CONFERENCE

Thursday 10. March 2011 - Presentation in Conjunction with On Demand 2011, March 23rd in Washington DC

Questex Media, producers of the On Demand 2011 Exposition and the Publishing Xchange Conference, today announced that this year’s winner of the Business Transformation Award will be unveiled next Wednesday, March 23rd, at 5:00 pm in conjunction with the Publishing Xchange Conference. The annual award honors innovative firms in the commercial printing, publishing, in-plant, and digital communications services markets that have recently transformed their businesses to better serve their customers, the industry, their community, or their corporate interests.
Beginning in early January, Questex asked industry vendors, associations, writers, and service providers to nominate companies. A panel of eight renowned industry judges was established to independently score each nomination. Nominees were judged upon:
ü The originality of the transformation;
ü The positive change in the success of the business;
ü Impact of the transformation on the business’ customers;
ü How the transformation impacts future development;
ü How their business transformation impacted their local community at large.
The presentation on Wednesday (March 23rd, in room 146) is open to all attendees of the On Demand Expo, the Publishing Xchange conference, and the Info360 conference, which will be held simultaneously at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center beginning next Tuesday, March 22nd.
Immediately following the awards ceremony will be the Publish or Perish game show running until 6:30pm. Hosted by Chuck Weger, you’ll see two teams of industry experts compete for glory and honor! Plus, you get a chance to stump these so-called “experts,” and win prizes yourself.
Frank Romano Quote
“Successful printers are transforming their business. They are applying the Internet and digital printing in all forms and expanding into new value-added services,” notes Frank Romano, Professor Emeritus, RIT. “It is more than just machines and software — it is a re-invention of the printing business for the 21st century. The Business Transformation Award recognizes those enterprises who are creating the future of the graphic communication industry.”
