Accu-Sort Demonstrates Automation Solutions for Distribution Centers at 2011 RILA Logistics Conference

Accu-Sort Systems, Inc., a leader in automation solutions and automatic identification systems, will be exhibiting at the 2011 RILA Logistics Conference, Booth 317, February 21-24, 2011 in Orlando,FL. The company will be demonstrating automation solutions for distribution centers that are proven at over half of the top 10 largest retailers in the nation.
As retailers realize gains in their supply-chain, distribution center efficiency is becoming more important than ever. Accu-Sort offers solutions for Receiving, Order Fulfillment, Shipping and auto-identification.

Accu-Sort solutions to be featured at RILA include:
— Receiving Throughput. Accu-Sort’s FAST Label automated label
print-and-apply systems enable the implementation of cross-docking and
automated receiving and outbound strategies that can increase throughput
by 66%.
— Picking Accuracy. Picking errors create immediate and hard-to-track
losses. Accu-Sort’s Small Item Sorter (SIS) can automate the pick
process. Laser bar code scanners within this sortation system compare
the shipping label and product bar code to verify that items are picked
correctly for each order.
— Sorting Accuracy. The AccuVision AV6010 camera bar code scanner with
optional Side-by-Side Package Detection can detect non-singulated
products, preventing inventory problems caused by “phantom” packages as
well as costly conveyor jams.
— Diagnostic Tools. In combination with the VisionCapture(TM) System 2.0,
the AccuVision AV6010 camera bar code scanner can capture images of
every no-read label for root cause analysis. This approach can help
greatly reduce the labor of manually handling no-read cartons.
Accu-Sort’s FAST Monitor(TM) makes it easy to monitor laser and camera
bar code scanner performance throughout a single site or multiple
sites, requiring only three clicks from alarm to root cause.
