Quadpack gears up for launch into Central and Eastern Europe

Monday 03. January 2011 - Quadpack is preparing to target the Central and Eastern European cosmetics markets. An entry strategy is on the drawing board based on a thorough investigation of the region, to include Bosnia and Herczegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.

While there are no plans at present to open a Quadpack office in this region, we will establish a direct route to market. Key to this is setting up the infrastructure to enable these emerging markets to benefit from Quadpack’s expertise, both in bespoke and standard cosmetics packaging.
This infrastructure will also extend to Turkey and Greece.
Quadpack will initially focus on the mass and masstige markets, targeting local supermarket chains, smaller private labels, as well as the foreign multinationals which dominate the region. Hard-hit by the crisis, Central and Eastern European market is finally starting to recover, with an increasingly educated consumer base demanding natural, organic products and smart packaging.
Quadpack CEO Tim Eaves says: “The economy of the countries in Central and Eastern Europe has been showing signs of an upward turn. The growing consumer market is driving the cosmetics industry. This is our moment to capture the market early.”
