Rexam to showcase its new look for Nestle and Tulip

Wednesday 15. December 2010 - Global consumer packaging company, Rexam, has recently launched two new products for leading food manufacturer Nestle Germany and pork-based meat supplier Tulip Food Company.

To extend Tulip’s range of ambient products and to offer the consumer alternatives to the metal can, two sizes of high-barrier plastic heat-sealed cups were produced using Rexam’s unique Rotary ThermoForming (RTF) technology. The new packs have already been launched in Carrefour in France and are now listed with a number of leading British retailers. Rexam’s European Sales and Marketing Director for food containers, Nick Brewin says: “Tulip and Rexam have taken a traditional format and converted it into a modern and convenient pack, which is highly distinctive on retailers’ shelves”.
The company has also developed a new range of microwaveable ready-meals ‘Topfinito’ for Maggi, the Culinary unit of Nestle, Germany. The stock 99mm top-diameter, high-barrier plastic containers are produced using Rexam’s unique Rotary ThermoForming (RTF) technology. The containers, formed in the melt-phase so there is no in-built stress, have superior retort and barrier performance.
