Next Print Buyer University at the Print Media Academy Starts in Heidelberg in January 2011
Tuesday 02. November 2010 - Focus on quality assurance and cost cutting potential in the print production process
International experts provide special know-how on efficient production processes and the latest printing applications
Successful print production is achieved through an effective combination of quality, meeting deadlines, and efficiency. On the other hand, if something goes wrong in the production process, this doesn’t just lead to delays but also has an impact on quality and costs. The challenge for print buyers is therefore to ensure efficient print production with the best possible quality, within agreed time frames, and on budget. This all calls for special expertise.
The Print Buyer University at the Print Media Academy (PMA) in Heidelberg offers production specialists, buyers, marketing managers, graphic designers in advertising and production agencies, publishing houses, and advertising companies the opportunity over four days to learn about efficient production processes and new, promising printing applications. Participants find out what they need to know when specifying printing requirements, selecting print service suppliers, and commissioning jobs. They also learn how to assess print quality objectively and reliably in order to approve print jobs. The four-day seminar provides an overall understanding of print in all aspects of importance to customers.
Group sizes are limited to enable participants to study efficiently. For the practice-based topics, participants work with state-of-the-art equipment, learning about the processes now available and the level of quality that can be achieved. Following successful completion of the course, they receive a “Print Media Advisor” certificate, certifying their proficiency in managing complex print projects at a national and international level.
The English-language Print Buyer University will be held in Heidelberg from January 25 to 28, 2011, and costs EUR 1,550 (plus VAT). Detailed information, references, and further offerings for print customers can be found at
