Neryos unveiled the faster cutsheet inkjet colour press
Tuesday 13. July 2010 - Neryos has launched the IPN75 : the new high-speed and cost-effective colour inkjet printer to produce 300 pages per minute in full colour at 1 200 dpi. The IPN75 is suitable for volumes from 500,000 to 3 Millions pages per month.
The IPN75 is a cut-sheet, four-color aqueous inkjet printer using Kyocera heads that are capable of speeds of 75 meters per minute. The maximum sheet size is 321 x 421 mm. Duplex printing requires a configuration with two print engines and a paper return device that flips the sheet. This set-up can run at 600 A4 images per minute. It can handle stocks from 75 to 300 g/m² including envelopes.
The printheads are drop-on-demand piezo. They provide 600 by 600 dot-per-inch (dpi) resolution and a grayscale capability with four drop sizes. A dedicated raster image processor (RIP) with color management software accepts PDF and AFP.
The IPEX show was very successful, the company signed several purchase orders and distribution agreements.
The printing cost and the high throughput are the key feature of the printer. “With our new product, the running costs of the printer were half those of comparable toner-based machines. It really enables our customer to create more value and interest for variable colour printing ” said Dominique Martin the Neryos CEO.
