Lake Image Systems Enhances Track and Trace Verification Solutions for Pharmaceutical, Label, Packaging, and Converting Applications

Friday 28. May 2010 - Lake Image Systems, the worldwide leader in vision control and verification systems, has enhanced its track and trace verification solutions with specific features for the pharmaceutical, label, packaging, and converting industries. 

Discussing the enhanced capability, Lake Image Systems Vice President Pat Hoskins commented: “The Lake Image Systems Discovery Suite now provides real-time identification of any duplicate or missing pieces, by comparing each individual piece to a master database.   In addition, the system simultaneously verifies data and provides ANSI grading of all linear and two-dimensional bar codes.  Discovery Suite also archives camera images of every piece or, optionally, only pieces with errors.  The integral track and trace audit trail automatically creates a manifest for data transfer to the next phase of the product lifecycle, as required in many track and trace applications such as ePedigree.  The system may be implemented in cut sheet, narrow web, wide web, and packaging production environments, and can capture all required data at production speed.”
