PrintCity Ipex News Highlights
Alliance members have been working together on three new industry reports which will be published in 2010:

• Watch the Step to Wider Roll Widths – Ipex
Subject: Ultra Wide Web Offset Presses (UWWO) – this new publication for Ipex is the culmination of alliance member’s work to assess high productivity web offset presses of over 2 metres in web width. It takes into account all aspects of applications & key investment decision criteria for successful operation and the reduction of total production costs. This report is available at Ipex or via the PrintCity Shop at www.printcity.de/shop from June onwards.

• Carbon & Energy Reduction
Subject: Carbon Footprint & Energy Efficiency – this new study will become one of the definitive reports to understand and apply good practice in carbon footprinting and wise energy management for the entire printing & packaging industry. This will be published in full during the third quarter of 2010.

• Process Standard Optimisation
Subject: Process Standards Optimisation – a new study available by end of 2010, it will become a vital guide to understand and apply best practice in productivity, efficiency and process standardisation for the printing & packaging industry. This will be published in full by the end of this year.

Here at Ipex for the first time members are co-exhibiting in an exciting new show format which centres on a shared communications area on stand 17-D921 highlighting samples, case studies and success stories linked to the PrintCity Alliance shared 3 themes: PRINT: LEAN. GREEN. SEEN. These themes are ‘the three pillars of profitability’ because of their importance to future technology investments and hence customer business growth.
