Expansion is high on ORAFOLs agenda
Thursday 29. April 2010 - Intensive research and development combined with continuous substantial investments have played a central part in ORAFOL Europe GmbH corporate strategic planning. These efforts are reflected in the newly adopted two-year investment program.
In recent years, ORAFOL acquired large properties in the immediate vicinity of the existing facility that will be utilized to implement the program over the next two years.
The first investment stage, started in March 2010, includes the expansion of an existing building and production line for extruded and special cast products originally constructed in 2005. The building extension will accommodate a well-equipped demonstration centre that is a suitable venue for vehicle wrap training sessions currently offered by the ORAFOL Wrapping Academy. This stage will also include installation of additional machinery and equipment required for production of microprismatic reflective films and is expected to be completed by December 2010.
As early as May 2010, construction will begin to allow additional capacity for production of special cast films. Within the scope of the two year program are plans for continuous improvement and expansion of current production of single and double-sided industrial tapes; such as a state-of-the art cutting centre for industrial tapes.
According to Dr. Holger Loclair, Managing Director of ORAFOL “With the 30 million euro investment program adopted by ORAFOL Europe GmbH for the Oranienburg, Germany site over the next two years, we will further improve our abilities to respond to the continuously developing requirements of our partners in global markets and with innovative products to meet the demands of the market”.
