IPEX+ BRINGS EDUCATION TO THE HEART OF IPEX

Monday 26. April 2010 - The Ipex 2010 organisers have launched Ipex+, an easy to use online diary providing a comprehensive overview of free educational sessions on offer to visitors at the show. The system allows exhibitors to highlight on-stand seminars, educational debates and live presentations via www.ipex.org/plus so visitors can prepare in advance of the show and maximise the time they spend at Ipex.

The information gathered via Ipex+ will feature on ‘My Ipex’ (www.ipex.org/myipex) the interactive online planning tool for visitors to create their own personalised itineraries. Users of the system can explore the show stand-by-stand by looking at interactive floorplans on screen, or by searching for exhibitors alphabetically, by hall, or product category. After identifying which exhibitors to visit at the show, users can then easily create a short-list containing all exhibitors’ locations with links to their company profiles, press releases, new product information and video content at the click of a mouse. The personalised itinerary, including the information about educational programmes can then be printed or saved and re-visited when they next access ‘My Ipex’.

Explains Nick Craig Waller, Ipex 2010 Marketing Director: “Ipex is the perfect opportunity to learn practical, applicable skills visitors can implement as soon as they get back to base. With more than 1,000 exhibitors at Ipex, there is something happening on someone’s stand every minute of the day. Many of our exhibitors invest a huge amount of time, resources and energy in devising and presenting their own on-stand educational programmes which run throughout Ipex.

“By submitting details of their educational plans, exhibitors can benefit from free online promotion on our website and as a result draw as many visitors as possible to their stand. Ipex+ will provide a wealth of information about free educational opportunities to visitors, creating an even more compelling reason to attend Ipex 2010.”

It’s extremely easy for exhibitors to upload the seminar and educational content to the Ipex+ system on the show website via an Excel template. Once compiled, exhibitors can email the spreadsheet in Excel format to Andrew Thornhill at the Ipex marketing team (athornhill@iirx.co.uk) for uploading to the Ipex website.
