Friday 23. April 2010 - Océ Home of Color III Business Forum showcases business reality in booming production printing segments
Océ, an international leader in digital color printing solutions, is hosting the Océ Home of Color III Business Forum at its Poing facility near Munich from April 13-15. Customers and other stakeholders will see how the latest Océ innovations can drive their business. They will also use the Business Forum as a platform to exchange news and views on trends and developments in the digital color production market.
Business Forum – a hub for dialog
The Océ Home of Color III Business Forum builds on the platform launched during the 2009 Home of Color I and II events, where the latest color printing technologies were introduced. This years Business Forum is a one-day networking event held over three consecutive days to accommodate both international and domestic attendees. Participants will mingle with technology experts, leading finishing specialists and the many other business stakeholders driving the digital printing industry forward. Subjects tabled include monochrome-to-color migration, high-speed variable data printing, offset to digital transition and workflow automation. The key markets addressed include the fields of digital book production and digital printing of newspapers, technical documentation and security printing. Premium direct mail and loyalty solutions are also on the table during the Business Forum networking platform.
Digital book production sessions feature the new Océ ColorStream 10000 Flex, the system that delivers the fastest toner-based, color-capable B/W productivity in the market. Customers appreciate the way it drives their business by mixing color and black & white pages in one run, considerably extending the variety of books that can now be printed. The press can automatically adapt speed and costs within one job according to color usage. This is vital in the book market, where typically only a small number of pages are in full color. Experts will discuss a range of topics such as green printing, reduced ordering costs and automated production from order entry to delivery.
Digital newspaper printing will be showcased by the Océ JetStream 3300, the industrys fastest inkjet system for 30″ web production. Customers can watch a practical demonstration of fully individualized digital newspaper printing in color. Short-run and personalized newspaper printing opportunities, the issues of rising costs and changing expectations in newspaper publishing will be discussed. Improved business models that reflect the transition to digital production, variable individualized content and regional micro-zoning offer customers new and innovative opportunities to grow their business.
Technical documentation, manuals and security printing will be highlighted by the Océ VarioPrint 6320 Ultra – the worlds fastest digital perfecting system, that form the centerpiece of presentations covering these expanding fields. The rapidly emerging field of security printing and its application in track&trace, document authentication and intelligent logistics for ultimate customer security and data protection will be discussed in detail.
Premium direct mail and loyalty sessions feature the Océ JetStream 1000, showing how direct mail organizations can deliver cost-effective communications to their customers. This is a market where productivity, flexibility and individualization are key factors, making the Océ JetStream 1000 a competitive choice. The sessions and discussions will focus on premium direct mail, TransPromo (the combining of transactional content with promotional messages), and next-level one-to-one communication and loyalty programs, aimed at raising response rates and brand awareness.
