First Rail awards contract for seat reservation cards to Ticketmedia

Monday 19. April 2010 - Hove-based Ticketmedia is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the contract to supply the standard seat reservation cards for First Rail Holdings, the UK’s largest rail operator, following a competitive tender. In a contract estimated to be worth £150 000 per year and targeting predominantly ABC1 commuters, Ticketmedia will also provide the advertiser for the reverse of the card.

First Rail is part of the First Group plc, the world’s leading transport operator. It carries over 285 million passengers a year on its franchises that include First Great Western, First TransPennine Express, First Hull Trains, First Capital Connect, and First Scot Rail. Initially, Ticketmedia will be supplying the seat reservation cards for First Great Western, whose intercity routes cross the South and West of the country, First TransPennine Express, on intercity services linking the North West and North East of England, and for First Hull Trains, which operates the open access intercity train from London’s King’s Cross to Hull.
