Systech International and Domino Printing Sciences plc Collaborate to Deliver Solutions for French CIP13 Requirements
Friday 26. March 2010 - Integrated vision inspection and print and verify solution enables manufacturers to comply with today's mandates as well as future global serialization regulations
Systech International, innovator of Packaging Execution Systems (PES), and Domino Printing Sciences plc, a leader in ink jet, thermal, laser, and print and apply technologies, today announced that their integrated offering will enable pharmaceutical manufacturers to address French CIP13 requirements as well as future global serialization regulations.
French CIP13 requires all pharmaceutical products distributed in France to have a data matrix barcode that incorporates the CIP13 code, a batch number, and an expiration date by December 31, 2010. Systech and Domino’s collaboration, which combines Systech’s vision inspection solution with Domino’s new print and verify solution, provides manufacturers with the new technology necessary to successfully meet these requirements.
“Systech and Domino are committed to working together to deliver integrated solutions that manufacturers can continually leverage when confronting diverse global demands,” said Frederic Menardo, General Manger, Systech Europe. “Our solutions have been deployed by leading manufacturers worldwide, giving us the experience and industry knowledge necessary for successful implementation.”
In addition to meeting today’s French CIP13 demands, the Systech and Domino collaboration can also address emerging global serialization directives. Systech’s vision inspection solution, Systech Sentri, is a component of Systech’s productized Packaging Execution System platform and seamlessly integrates with Systech’s Serialized Product Tracking (SPT) application. Moreover, Domino’s print and verify offering can be integrated into a serialization solution, such as Systech’s SPT, that encompasses item level marking, case and pallet aggregation, and bi-directional communication with the enterprise IT infrastructure. This combined offering provides manufacturers with a solution that prepares manufacturers for the future while controlling their total cost of ownership.
“Systech and Domino have had a strong working relationship for a number of years and each has become a market leader,” stated Craig Stobie, Global Healthcare Sector Manager at Domino. “Both organizations have built close relationships with our customers and therefore understand the complex packaging challenges that they confront daily. That is why we have been successful in working together to provide manufacturers with effective solutions that enable them to meet their business needs.”
