Goss International and Heidelberg have extended the agreement through which Heidelberg Mexico represents Goss International for the sale of newspaper and commercial presses and finishing systems in the country. Heidelberg Mexico will also continue to provide aftermarket support, including parts, service and enhancements for printers and publishers operating Goss systems in Mexico.

“Heidelberg Mexico has demonstrated through the years that it has an exceptional infrastructure and level of web offset expertise in place,” explains Dick Schultz, senior vice president of global sales for Goss International. “Our teams have a proven record of working together to manage projects and deliver first-rate service, and this extension of our relationship should give our customers continued confidence.”

Printers and publishers in Mexico have ordered close to 30 new Goss and Heidelberg brand web presses since 2000. Current projects being overseen by Heidelberg Mexico include installation of a five-unit M-600 press at Talleres Graficos and a four-unit Sunday 3000 press at Transcontinental EOSA.

“We have served the extensive base of Heidelberg and Goss web press users in Mexico for many years, managing parts and service, important press enhancement projects, and new M-500, M-600, M-800, Sunday press and newspaper press installations,” explains Harald Weimer, CEO for Heidelberg Mexico. Weimer added that Heidelberg Mexico technicians routinely attend training sessions at Goss International press manufacturing facilities in the United States and Europe.
