Goss International highlights Lifetime Support resources in Australia

Wednesday 28. October 2009 - Customers improving productivity and extending competitive life of presses

Goss International is reporting an increased interest in its range of aftermarket Goss Lifetime Support services in Australia. The company now has eight engineers in the region dedicated to maintenance, service and enhancements, and several Australian commercial and newspaper printers have completed significant projects recently to improve the productivity of their Goss presses.

Matt Sharkady, Goss International general manager in Australia comments, “We have a wealth of experience in service, parts delivery and press enhancements, all of which can benefit our customers and help to support the productivity of installed presses at a time when new press investments may not be possible.”

All customers of Goss International in Australia have access to the complete range of Lifetime Support services including full press maintenance, repairs and spare parts, rebuilds, routine periodical servicing and phone support. Goss International also offers a wide range of enhancement options for older presses.

Sharkady continues, “Folder audits and rebuilds are currently a popular choice for our customers. A qualified engineer visits the facility to complete an audit and spends a day checking various items including cams, jaws, bearings, gears, and other parts known to wear over a period of time. The result is a detailed report of the folder condition, including a list of parts and a labor estimate required to bring the folder back to original operating specifications.”

Rural Press Printing, McPherson Media, Regional Printers Tamworth, Hannanprint Sydney and Offset Alpine Printing have all taken advantage of upgrades and extensions available through the Goss Lifetime Support program in recent months benefiting from Goss International’s hands-on approach.

“There has been an increase in safety audits and new safety technologies for older press systems as well as upgrades to remote inking systems allowing ink level settings to be controlled from the press console,” confirms Sharkady.
