Finch Paper Unveils Two New Website Elements: Finch in the Forest Blog and Q&A with a Finch Professional Forester

Tuesday 03. November 2009 - Blog and Q&A forums managed by Finch Senior Forester, Roger Dziengeleski

In continuing its mission to educate the public about responsible forestry practices, Finch Paper (NY) today announces the unveiling of two new exciting website elements: the Finch in the Forest educational blog and a Q&A page spearheaded by one of Finch Paper’s professional foresters, Vice President & Senior Forester Roger Dziengeleski.

Intriguing Insight from a Senior Finch Forester
Updated frequently, the new Finch in the Forest blogosphere is an engaging forum that was established to help reduce the complexity surrounding “green” paper choices. Roger will author a variety of articles and thought-provoking pieces that talk about latest industry trends, statistics and practices based on his years of experience with his “feet in the forest” – a phrase proudly used by Finch Paper, as the company is one of very few paper mills that still manages its own forests today.

Roger leads Finch Paper’s consulting forestry service, helping private and public landowners improve their responsible management of their forest. The Finch in the Forest blog is a way for Roger, with his extensive technical background, to educate those unfamiliar with the mill’s traditions and practices that date back over one hundred years.

Interactive Q&A Forum
The interactive Question & Answer portion of Finch Paper’s website is a place where Finch Professional Foresters lend their expertise in sustainable, science-based forest management to landowners, including The Nature Conservancy. Anyone from the general public can ask, and access, questions and answers for free and at anytime.
