Arvato Print Management Lands Purchase And Production Order Worth Millions
Friday 30. October 2009 - Arvato Print Management and The Reader's Digest Association, Inc. have signed an extensive business process outsourcing contract . As Arvato announced yesterday, the company is now responsible for Readers Digest purchasing and production management in a total of 35 countries in North America, Europe and Asia. In Latin America, Arvato will be responsible for purchasing the Asian manufacturing spend.
The five-year agreement covers a purchasing volume of more than $400 million over the term of the contract.
Under the new service agreement, Arvato Print Management will handle the global sourcing of books, CDs and DVDs for Reader’s Digest. Some of these products will continue to be manufactured by Mohn Media ; the remainder will be purchased from co-operation partners from all over the world.
