Universal Reprographics Acquired by Regional Powerhouse C2 Reprographics
Monday 05. October 2009 - San Diego printing company Universal Reprographics and its Color World and on-site subsidiaries have been acquired by Costa Mesa-based C2 Reprographics, expanding the company's strong regional brand and bringing a new name and numerous upgrades to San Diego-based Universal.
The locations in Old Town and Sorrento Valley are now operating under the C2 banner.
Universal’s 14 employees remain in their jobs at the two locations, with Sorrento Valley store manager Angel Leano, a 14-year company veteran, promoted to general manager to oversee the San Diego operations. Leading the business development efforts for C2 are sales representatives ShaSha Gideo and Soledad Ramirez.
Several new software technologies will be offered at C2 including Web-based services that help professionals in the design, building and engineering fields do their work more efficiently including PlanWell, BidMail, BidCaster, PlanCenter, and Buzzsaw. C2 will also offer extensive online document management services including online ordering, scanning and other digital document management tools. On-site services, printing and plotting equipment placed in clients’ offices for maximum control and efficiency is a continuing service that C2 plans to expand. In addition, C2 offers clients a complete line of supplies and consumables.
Similar to Orange and Los Angeles Counties, C2 in San Diego will offer state-of-the-art equipment for their color, black and white, and finishing services.
C2 clients with projects that span the Southland can take advantage of a comprehensive Southern California network of locations. With a large fleet of service vehicles and the capability to print jobs close to their destination, C2 provides customers real vendor choice.
