Envirographic 100 Paper: Making Paper New Again

Wednesday 23. September 2009 - BPM Earns Award for Energy Efficiency

BPM Inc’s spotlight and leading edge paper, Envirographic 100 which contains 100% post consumer waste, has received official recognition for its conservation efforts. Our 100% PCW recycled paper is a high quality paper, that is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). BPM has worked very hard to develop the Envirographic line of papers and the paper quality is nearly indistinguishable from similar non-recycled paper grades. “There is a great amount of pride you feel when you know you are contributing to saving trees, landfill space, and energy,” said Todd Collins, Sales Manager of BPM Inc.

Providing excellent performance, this paper fulfills various office needs, while reducing the impact of the use of paper on the environment. It is manufactured from 100% post consumer recycled waste paper, which means that no new trees are used in its production. The pulp is generated entirely from recycling bins; used office, home, and school paper, and is certified PCF (Process Chlorine Free).

BPM Inc was honored at the Wisconsin Paper Council’s Annual Meeting in Neenah, Wisconsin for earning the prestigious Governor’s Award for Excellence in Energy Efficiency. The Award reflects the company’s commitment to energy saving efforts. “We continue to investigate new technologies and find more ways to save energy throughout our mill, ” stated Jim Koronkiewicz, General Manager of BPM Inc.

Since 2008, Focus on Energy has awarded various incentives to BPM Inc. From these efforts, the fine paper and packaging manufacturer has saved more than 1.4 million kilowatt-hours of electricity and 370,000 therms of natural gas annually – enough energy to power 525 Wisconsin homes for a year. As a result, the mill will save more than $470,000 in annual energy costs.
