Dainippon Screen Launches the EQUIOSNET Partnership Program

Monday 14. September 2009 - End-To-End Automation with the Collaborating Vendors Will Be Presented at the PRINT 09 show

The EQUIOSNET Partnership Program, which was announced in June 2009 by the Media and Precision Technology Company (President: Kyohei Fujisawa) of Dainippon Screen Mfg. Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kyoto, Japan), is beginning full operations. Details about the program will be presented at the PRINT 09 international graphic arts exhibition, which takes place in Chicago, IL (USA), Friday, September 11 through Wednesday, September 16.

The EQUIOSNET Partnership Program is a workflow collaboration scheme organized by Screen in acknowledgment of the dramatic market movement from mass production to segmented, personalized printing that adds value. Screen believes the EQUIOSNET Partnership Program enhances EQUIOSNET, Screen’s original printing business solution that combines the CtP and POD workflows. The program enables end-to-end automation, the complete production automation of everything from the customer desktop to postpress finishing, thanks to the collaboration of 20 endorsing vendors from a variety of fields in the graphic arts industry. The EQUIOSNET Partnership Program will provide a variety of printing solutions that use end-to-end automation to prevent human errors, shorten turnaround time, and optimize the overall production process.

As a part of the EQUIOSNET Partnership Program, Screen is preparing a standard interface, which will be made available to all the partner vendors beginning in January 2010, for connecting with Screen’s workflow products. At PRINT 09, as well as at JGAS 2009, the Japan Graphic Arts Show, which takes place Tuesday, October 6 through Saturday, October 10, 2009, Screen’s booth will feature regular demonstrations of EQUIOSNET linked with MIS and Web2Print systems.

By promoting the EQUIOSNET Partnership Program that is now starting operations, Screen will advance the trend towards the use of more automated and efficient systems in the printing industry of the future, while opening up a world of printing business opportunities for its customers.
