NPES ANNOUNCES 2009 ANNUAL CONFERENCE OCTOBER 24-26 Conference Themed “Recovery 2010: Strategies for the Economic Upturn”
Thursday 03. September 2009 - Registration is now open for the NPES 2009 Annual Conference, taking place October 24 - 26 at the Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club in Aventura, FL. The conference, held each year by NPES The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies, provides graphic communications professionals with three days of thought-provoking interactive discussions with key industry executives, insights from industry expert presenters and networking opportunities. The theme for this year's conference is "Recovery 2010: Strategies for the Economic Upturn."
“Not only are today’s graphic communications professionals emerging from a global economic recession, but they are also dealing with industry consolidation, evaluating the threats and opportunities of emerging international markets, figuring out the impact of converging cross-media technologies and navigating countless other forces that are affecting the industry. Managing just one of these concerns would be difficultbut having so many in play at once can be downright overwhelming,” explained Ralph Nappi, NPES President. “That’s where the NPES Annual Conference comes in. There’s a certain benefit to being able to share with and learn from your peers, to know that you’re not the only one dealing with these issues. Furthermore, the conference offers expert insight on dealing with these challenges and provides attendees with the most effective strategies for ensuring their future success.”
In addition to multiple networking opportunities, the program includes an up-to-the-minute global economic update and international industry forecast; a timely discussion on the ongoing federal health care reforms and how they will affect business owners; provocative perspectives from industry leaders on a range of issues; and, back by popular demand, our printers’ panel. The keynote presentation will be given by Matthew May, business strategy expert and author of “In Pursuit of Elegance: Why the Best Ideas Have Something Missing.” This year’s recipient of the Harold W. Gegenheimer Awards for Industry Service will also be presented.
The NPES Annual Conference normally costs $450 per individual, but for the first time, NPES is offering a special registration price of $225. First-time attendees, as well as any spouse or guest, can attend for free. The registration fee includes entry into all conference sessions; conference materials; spouse/guest programs; networking and social events; and Saturday, Sunday and Monday networking receptions/dinners.
