AdInvent: Flexible overview with maximum efficiency

Daily newspapers offer an abundance of ad spaces, in fact there are countless spaces in the corresponding online editions. But at the moment no-one is booking them. At a number of ad:tech conferences to be held in Chicago, London and New York in September and November, ppi will be demonstrating which possibilities – above all technical ones – are available to publishing houses for marketing cross-media ad spaces and easily planning and reserving ads.
Using demo versions, ppi Media, a subsidiary of manroland AG, will be presenting AdInvent’s functions and its possible fields of application. This cross-media ad management system manages print, online and mobile ad spaces in just one view. Available and booked ad spaces from different media can be viewed all at once and edited any time. Premium packages – ads that are placed at premium positions in different media with different runtimes – can therefore be offered on a service-oriented basis and simply booked by the ad customer. “All the booking information only has to be entered once in the Campaign Manager. One glance at the print dummy and online planning board tells you whether your booking requests can be processed or which alternatives are available”, says Norbert Ohl, COO of ppi Media, describing ppi’s latest software development.
Enhancements and new features
In the latest version of AdInvent, ad customers can request ad bookings as reservations online in a Self Service Tool. All available placements are displayed visually in a sample editorial environment. When motifs are selected in specific desks or channels, the price for a single motif is calculated and displayed immediately. The request is registered automatically in the central reservation system along with the contact data of the customer. Following verification, the customer will receive a booking confirmation.
ppi’s new iPhone application
Field consultants can also benefit from AdInvent. AdInvent’s iPhone application shows them which predefined standard packages are available while still at the customer’s. The ad consultants simply access the central customer database of the publishing house from their Smartphone. This lets them see, for example, previous bookings and ad spaces placed by that customer. At the touch of a button on their mobile, they can reserve the package the customer wants and book it centrally after that.
