tWinScore Significantly Improves Scoring Quality on Covers

The Muller Martini patented tWinScore technology uses two scoring wheels, arranged next to each other in the shape of a W, to score the cover twice in close proximity to each other.

Monday 03. August 2009 - Muller Martini Develops New Technology for Cover Folder Feeders

Thanks to Muller Martini’s newly developed and patented tWinScore technology for cover folder feeders in saddle stitchers, fiber breaks on folds are a thing of the past.

The tWinScore scoring wheel in the cover folder feeder produces extraordinarily good scoring quality. Two scoring wheels, arranged next to each other in the shape of a W, score the cover twice in close proximity to each other. One of the main advantages is that paper fibers are also protected from breaking when using a wide variety of cover types and grammages for scoring, and fiber breakage when folding is prevented. The synchronized wheel ensures the distance to the product remains the same, thereby guaranteeing consistent scoring over the entire length of the cover.

Settings are easy to adjust externally for all cover types, and the tWinScore option can replace both positive and negative scoring. Upgrades are also a thing of the past, as upgrades for this option are available for the majority of the existing Muller Martini 1528 and 1529 cover folder feeders. Modifications can be completed within a day.
