Eliminate Downtime for Mission-Critical Printing by using the Printronix Quick Change Memory Cartridge
Friday 17. July 2009 - The new Quick Change Memory Cartridge (QCMC) from Printronix saves users time in mission-critical printing environments.
When a printer fails it usually means a call to tech support and hours, if not days, of downtime. The QCMC is a memory stick that can be pre-programmed with all of the printers configurations, network settings, fonts and any downloaded forms. With the QCMC, getting that mission-critical operation up and running is a snap.
The QCMC can be removed easily from the malfunctioning printer and installed in the replacement printer with no training. Because all of the information is stored on the QCMC, the printer operator can change printers without reprogramming configurations. In addition, the printer is automatically recognized by the network without reconfiguration by the IT staff.
The QCMC is an add-on option to the Printronix T4M thermal bar code printer and will be available on all new printer purchases. Current T4M owners can upgrade the printer firmware for free from the Printronix Web site.
