SodaHead Expands Social Newspaper Reach By Adding Key Networking Integrations

Wednesday 08. July 2009 - SodaHead.com, a leading opinion community and social newspaper focused on discussing today's hottest news and events, announced a new broadcast feature which allows users to ask a question and immediately distribute it to their Twitter followers, Facebook friends and Yahoo contact lists.

The SodaHead Twitter, Facebook and Yahoo Interface will provide users the ability to simultaneously distribute questions and news articles to all their online friends and followers. Users simply login to their existing social networking accounts through the SodaHead site and distribute their content via selected networks. SodaHead will aggregate the votes and comments from user’s networks and display them on SodaHead.

“Since people are part of many networks on the Internet, we wanted to provide an interface where our users can ask questions and share news articles simultaneously to their Twitter followers, Facebook friends and Yahoo contacts,” said Michael Glazer, co-founder, SodaHead. “By aggregating people’s opinions from multiple platforms, SodaHead continues as the leading opinion site for questions, current news and events.”

Since its launch in September 2007, SodaHead has attracted more than 1,300,000 members, 12 million comments, 8 million votes and was named one of the fastest growing communities in 2008 according to a comScore study. Through recent media partnerships and site feature updates they have grown to become a social newspaper where users interact by discussing hot news stories.
