July 2009 - Visitors to FESPA Digital 2009 were impressed this year when Corby based British manufacturer Keencut launched a brand new V-groove attachment for their SteelTraK wall-mounted cutter. The new tool is another major first for Keencut and enables the folding of aluminium composite (ACM) and PVC Foamboard.

Cutting smoothly and silently without electrical power debris or burred edges SteelTraK V-groove cutting tools are available for 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, & 6mm thickness materials. The specially designed patented cutter was created by Keencut engineers to remove exactly the correct amount and shape of aluminium and core material from one side of the sheet to allow a smooth strong 90 degree fold to be made with just hand pressure. The construction of sign trays, self standing displays and boxes was never accomplished with a simpler, faster or more economical cutting system.
Consistent with all other SteelTraK tools the new accessory operates in a single pass, generates absolutely no dust and requires no additional finishing making it ideal to place in the same room as a printer. Already in development is an additional 45° tool, which will be ready for the market in little over a month.
