Wide format Evolution

Friday 03. July 2009 - More Darth Vader than Darwin Keencut say the new Evolution makes light work of rebellious sign materials but unlike a Jedi the manual cutter requires very little force. Supported by a 5-year guarantee Keencut launched their new wide format cutter at FESPA Digital last month; "we were confident that the new Evolution would meet with positive interest but the response exceeded even our expectations," said Emma Lockwood, company marketing manager.

Since 1982 the Corby based British manufacturer has produced manual cutters and began specialising in solutions for Sign and graphics materials over 10 years ago. The new Keencut Evolution is designed to tackle materials such as pop-up banner, PVC foamboard, vinyl, acrylic, foamcore, textile and even fabric.
Equipped with a unique four piece slideway and torsion bar extrusion the Evolution dispenses with the need for cutting mats by incorporating a built-in three position baseplate. Represented as a complete solution the Evolution mounts to a variety of bench types and has integral mechanisms for levelling the machine surface.
Ranging from 160cm to 360cm Keencut promises the same outstanding 0.2mm (1:15000) accuracy guarantee of the world renowned Javelin Xtra Cutter bar for a minimum of 5 years. Calibrated with lasers, manufactured and engineered in Britain, built by technicians with over 25 years experience with Keencut, the Evolution is set to revolutionise the speed, accuracy and convenience of the finishing process.
