Photobucket, the Webs premier standalone photo and video-sharing site, today launched Photobucket Visual Search, a new and compelling way for users to browse photos and videos on Photobucket. Leveraging Microsofts Silverlight technology, Windows Live Services and Photobuckets Open API platform, Photobucket Visual Search presents search results in an easy-to-browse interface that delivers an enhanced search experience for Photobuckets more than 80 million users worldwide.
With over 7 billion images hosted on Photobucket and over 41 million searches a day, search remains one of Photobuckets most popular features. Photobucket Visual Search offers an alternative search mechanism to the standard Photobucket search methodology, empowering users to explore Photobuckets vast library of images and videos. Photobucket Visual Search not only displays results for the searched term but also suggests related terms to give a users search greater depth.
Photobucket Visual Search also strengthens the social nature of photos and videos by incorporating Windows Live Messenger, enabling Messenger users to easily share Photobucket images with their friends and family.
