Tuesday 16. June 2009 - Felice Rossini is the new president of Acimga, replacing Mr. Barzanò. He will hold the office for a two-year period, 2009-2010.

Rossini was born in 1943 and is well-known in the industry; he has formerly held the office as president of Acimga from 1991 until 1994.

He is also president of Rossini Spa, a company established in 1928 from an innovative idea by his father Mr. Erminio. Under the leadership of Felice Rossini the family company grew steadily and established itself on the international market. Today Rossini Spa is a world leading company for the production of rubber rollers and sleeves for rotogravure printing and flexogravure for the packaging industry. The company has several production plants both in Italy (Rescaldina, Milan and L’Aquila) and abroad (Atlanta, Georgia; Hudson, Ohio; Barcelona, Spain; Sao Paulo, Brazil). In addition it has sales offices in China, France, England and Germany.

The choice of Felice Rossini as president was strongly supported by member companies. The report presented by the Committee for Electoral Appointment, which was in charge of consulting member companies and gathering their preferences for the new president, clearly shows an urgent request for a strong figure able to lead the Association through the current economic crisis.

In addition to this appointment, Mr. Rossini is the president of Centrexpo Spa, the exhibition organizer specialized in printing and converting events, and board member of Ipack-Ima SpA, specialized in organizing processing and packaging exhibitions and a subsidiary of Centrexpo.
Today the Centrexpo/Ipack-Ima group is one of the leading players in the exhibition business worldwide.

“I thank all member companies for having entrusted me with the leadership of ACIMGA. I am proud to accept this responsibility both out of loyalty to the Association and as a personal challenge.
In spite of the current difficulties, I believe that there is still a lot that can be done to develop the potential of our industry, the feather in the hat of instrumental mechanics, and the business areas connected with the exhibitions organized by the Centrexpo/Ipack-Ima Group”, Felice Rossini concluded.
