Case Study: BKK Intranet

Wednesday 03. June 2009 - In 2007 BKK analyzed their intranet and the belonging publishing tools.

The findings showed that there was a need for a more effective way of collaboration and communication of company internal information. There was also a need for simpler content management system.

This case study will take a look at BKK’s needs and how Bouvet used Escenic to support them. Special for this project is the many integrations with other core systems, the use of Simple Publishing, and how Escenic was used to create a personalized portal for more than 1,000 employees.

About the Speakers:
Nina H. Knudsen is from BKK which is a Norwegian power and communication company based in Bergen. Nina works as a web editor in the concern’s communication department. She was the project manager for both the pre-project and the main project for the intranet. She is currently working as the project manager for BKK’s new coming external website.

Terje Tjervaag is from the Norwegian consulting company Bouvet ASA and was one of the developers and arhitects on this project for BKK. Terje is an experienced developer who has worked with a range of programming languages and web technologies.
