Escenic Community Engine 2.7-1 released

Thursday 14. May 2009 - Escenic is pleased to announce that the Escenic Community Engine 2.7-1 release is now available for download at Escenic Technet.

Escenic Community Engine is a powerful platform for building social networking enabled websites.

Highlights in this release:

The Community Engine now consists of only one ECE plug-in (instead of nine).
All TLDs with the “ndc” prefix has been removed.
Most deprecated API code has been removed.
Tag names are now unique only within each publication
To our knowledge, most/all recent Escenic Community Engine sites have been using the newer TLD versions for a long time, so for most users few changes will be needed to the site templates. We do recommend however, that everyone goes through the matrices in the release-notes carefully before upgrading a production systems to 2.7-1.
