IMA ACTIVE Division (Solid Dose Solutions)
IMA ACTIVE Division offers a complete range of machines for processing and production of solid dose products: granulation equipment, tablet press machines manufactured both by IMA and by KILIAN, capsule filling machines, coating systems, weight checking machines for capsules and tablets as well as powder handling and washing systems manufactured by ZANCHETTA.
Global launch at Achema: ADAPTA, a new capsule filling machine adaptable to your ever evolving needs. The ADAPTA is designed to satisfy high speed production requirements and its configuration is extremely flexible. The machine is suitable for dosing product combinations and 100% control of gross and/or net weight.
Also on show, a wide and innovative range of machines for the processing and manufacturing of solid dose products.
The Perfima Lab is a perforated coating pan designed for R&D and small scale production, which guarantees a perfect mixing and a uniform drying of the cores. The machine can be fitted with three interchangeable drums to process a wide range of product capacities.
IMA ACTIVE KILIAN launches the new Synthesis 500 WET, a tablet press machine with an interchangeable turret featuring a wetting system and high operator protection for low investment levels. In addition, the new Synthesis 500 ZS-M tablet press with a compact design and proven technology offers both bi-layer functionality and core feeding.
IMA ACTIVE ZANCHETTA proposes different machines and systems for granulation, handling and washing.
Roto Cube 60 is a high shear mixer granulator suitable for wet granulation and vacuum drying in single-pot. The machine features a tilting and a GA.ST. system to reduce drying times and for a gentle treatment of granules.
TwinValve is a highly innovative connection system designed to obtain the maximum efficiency for both standard and highly potent products. The valve can be cleaned with dry compressed air, steam or water/detergent. OEB 5 (<1µg/m3) is achievable with dry compressed air. The lowest contaminations are achievable by means of steam or water cleaning.
Venus is a components washer designed for washing small tools, hoppers, small containers, cams, trays and small bins. The machine is equipped with the Ultrasonic washing system to wash components/parts with complicated geometry such as sieve nets, mill screens, tablet press turrets, etc.
Also on display the Spine, an automatic inspection and sorting system for tablets and capsules produced by Sensum. The machine has an ergonomic design and inspects the entire surface of tablets and capsules (i.e. size, shape, cracks, color deviations, etc.) reaching a high inspection speed.
IMA LIFE (Aseptic Processing & Filling Solutions)
IMA LIFE offers machines for washing and sterilising pharmaceutical vials, filling and stoppering machines for aseptic environments, filling and closing machines for pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, microdosing machines for aseptic powder filling and, thanks to the acquisition of IMA EDWARDS*, freeze-drying machinery. IMA LIFE also offers labellers, blowing machines, depackers and traying machines.
Global launch at Achema: XTREMA F2000, the latest technological breakthrough in aseptic filling. State-of-the-art technological level to offer the most flexible and configurable aseptic filler currently available on the market. Extremely innovative design, based on a modern modular concept, actively manages the productive process. In-built versatility matched with a sophisticated thorough IPC system allows the user to gain control over each step of the production by intervening at any time, tailoring the machine to the current needs. Industry experience, proven filling technology and IMA LIFE expertise make of XTREMA F2000 much more than a machine.
Also on show for the first time is Sterifill B6-FA ampoules filling and sealing machine. Designed for drugs processing in aseptic conditions either in traditional class 100 area or under RABS, offers an output speed of up to 400 ampoules/minute. The machine can handle both open and closed ampoules and can also be configured in a combo-version to treat both ampoules and vials on the same machine.
IMA LIFE also exhibits Sterifill RS-P2, a medium speed syringe filling machine characterised by high precision and reliability. This filler features the processing of syringes in nest and has been designed to operate at up to 6,000 syringes/hour either in class 100 environment or under RABS.
IMA EDWARDS*, world leader in freeze-drying machinery for the pharmaceutical industry, is presenting a new generation Fixed Loading System (type CLU-LF) combined with an integrated dummy shelf stack, to represent the physics of a Lyophilizer. The Loading system is a row by row accumulating system and loads at constant level up to 200 vials/minute. The Loading system equipped with Passive RABS, is able to handle vials from 2 to 100 ml.
IMA SAFE (Packaging Solutions)
IMA SAFE is the only manufacturer that offers complete primary and secondary packaging lines solutions to the pharmaceutical, toiletry, cosmetic and food industries. Blisters machines have speed ranges from low to super high speed (1,300 blisters/minute). Low-medium speed machines are also manufactured by the subsidiary PRECISION GEARS (India). Tablet counting machines production includes IMA SAFE NOVA (USA) and IMA SAFE SWIFTPACK (UK). Tube fillers are manufactured by IMA SAFE CO.MA.DI.S., while horizontal and vertical cartoners are manufactured by IMA SAFE. IMA SAFE LINE offers a complete range of end of line equipment which includes over-wrapping, shrink-wrapping, case packing and palletizing solutions.
Global launch at Achema: UNILINE, a conveying filling and capping system that flexibly integrates the functions required to form a complete counting line. With UNILINE, every container is unique and identifiable thanks to the innovative positive conveyor system which ensures traceability at every stage of the packaging cycle, from loading to rejection.
Also, for solid dose packaging IMA SAFE presents a complete blister line ideal for medium and small batches with many size changes, made up of the Giant1, the integrated blister and cartoning machine (350 blisters and 175 cartons/minute), the IMA LIFE Sensitive 3/T, the labelling machine suitable for applying self-adhesive labels to guarantee tamper-evident sealing of closed tuck flap cartons, and the MS250, the new compact and servo driven stretch-bander designed for the pharmaceutical market. The cantilever structure and separation of the drive and production units allow the best access for service, maintenance and cleaning.
For tube filling, IMA SAFE CO.MA.DI.S. launches the new CD Linear, the linear tube filling machine (200 tubes/minute). Designed from the operators view point, all functions are visible, easily controlled and managed. Inspired by highly accurate logic controls that leave no room for error or uncertainty, the CD Linear will be connected via a new highly flexible automatic feeding unit to the FLEXA CSD continuous motion cartoning machine.
Another launch at Achema for IMA SAFE LINE: AF60, the new innovative overwrapping machine specifically designed to meet pharmaceutical industry requirements. The cantilever structure and separation of the drive and production units allow the best access for changeover, maintenance and cleaning. The machine is equipped with an upstacking unit driven by servo motor to stack products up to 200 layers/minute.
