San Francisco Chronicle/SFGate.com Names Bergin Senior Vice President Advertising

Monday 04. May 2009 - Jeff Bergin has been named senior vice president of advertising for The San Francisco Chronicle/SFGate.com, President Mark Adkins announced today.

“Jeff brings an impressive record of success in creating digital and print solutions that deliver results for our customers,” said Adkins. “We’re excited to have him put his unique skills to work in his new role for the San Francisco Chronicle.”
Bergin has served in a variety of sales leadership roles. He was most recently vice president sales, US Community Publishing Division, Gannett Co., Inc. Bergin held a variety of senior advertising management positions at Gannett properties in Bridgewater, NJ and Fort Myers, FL, beginning in December of 1989 before joining the corporate staff as director of advertising in the newspaper division in January of 2002.

Bergin serves on the Sales Advisory Committee for National Newspaper Network and the Advertising Advisory Board of the American Press Institute. He was a finalist for Gannett Corporate Staffer of the Year in 2004 and named one of the Retail Advertising Directors of the Year in 2000 and 2001.
